my friend just bought a second gen rx7 for $100 (no motor, interior all fucked up, dented front passenger fender) he plans on completely stripping it and putting in a v8, he's leaning toward the ford 5.0

You can't keep it stock and expect it to be your daily driver, you have to do reliability mods to them to make them last. Why are the twin setups crap? They run mid 13's stock, doesnt sound like crap to me.

they arn't that hard to work on or rebuild either.
every one says they are but i had a spare rotary at my school and tore it apart and put it back together and ----... they are damn cool how the rotars work.

they have a complicated vaccum system that isn't too reliable and you can free up a ton on HP with a single turbo
