I'm not pleased with Acer. My PC died on me and my laptop is overheating like crazy recently. Laptop is 2.5 years old, PC was just over a year old when it busted. My PC also died on me and had to be reformatted when my roomate accidently killed the power to my computer which I thought was a bunch of bullshit. Overall, I wouldn't buy an Acer computer again. Monitor, maybe. Computer/laptop, never.
Also, take an MS Office class. Being efficient in Office is an amazing tool. Also a basic intro to computers class might help. Depends, some are just telling you what a mouse is. Others give you a great understanding of how to move files around and work within Windows and stuff. Go talk to the school adviser.
