Just stating a simple fact. I find it really sad personally that the level of education in Japan is so much higher than in the U.S. possibly because they realize that they might want to invest some money in the people who will be running things later on. Here in the U.S. we just keep dropping standards to make ourselves look better, and thus you get sentences like the OP has written.

It also seems as though you may have some anger management issues, you might want to check into those programs. :-*

Notice I didn't say they need to spend more money, just that they need to invest the money they do spend into proper education, the high school I graduated from kept dropping standards every year because if you can achieve a certain skill level the school gets more money, so every year we expect the kids to get dumber and dumber.

I do agree that lazy ass parents are responsible in their own right. But I think Japan has the right idea as far as telling kids that if they don't get educated properly they'll be a disgrace to everyone they know. Humiliation can be a good tactic sometimes. :y

Oh, and I'm not a Liberal, I actually don't have a political affiliation. Mainly because my hope is not based on man. There hasn't ever been a government on earth that has been able to solve mankind's problems, so I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. I prefer to put my faith in God.

Hmmm interesting thoughts, would you care to elaborate on just how you've come to this conclusion?

I'm not going to sit here and say I'm right and you're wrong. But seriously, to make a blanket statement like that just shows how much you have to learn. I pity you.

Aparently you dont, the United States wasn't established on such extreme unquestioning nationalism. You cant define disagreeing with a specific pollicy as being unamerican. As that is your right as an american, and what separates us from the rest of the world. Denying his right as a United States citizen to belive what he does, is the most unamerican thing you can do.
