Monday (THIS MONDAY) a friend of mine signed a lease and paid up-front rent for 12 months on this warehouse/shop/whatever: pics: http://forums.aspeedracing.com/showthread.php?t=3394

Since Monday morning, me and a bunch (~ other guys have been moving stuff, (heavy stuff) from my friend's store-n-lock. i.e. 3 motors, 19 wheels/tires, fenders, seats, you name it. TONS of stuff. The store-n-lock is across town from the warehouse, and we used an explorer and our cars to move stuff. long story short, it was a lot of work.

So Monday night and Tuesday night we've been hanging out there. Arrranging stuff, tearing down a motor (now that we have space to do so), made a huge wheel rack, etc. and started tearing down my friends AE86. We kept very quiet as not to **** off the neibors, etc.

I just got a call and they got ------- kicked out. They have to have all that ---- out by MONDAY!!! Some bitch that has a business next door bitched to the realty company repeatedly apparently and that's that. Its completely rediculous. Im so pissed. I was there a lot of the time and they were never loud. No running cars in-doors, no shenannigans in the parking lot.

---- that! sue them for breaching the contract!!!!! you leased for 12 months and you guys didnt do ----!!! plus they cant just kick you out cause some dumb bitch saw you guys and didnt like what she saw!!! take em to court!!! that and there is no way that you can move by monday, take your time they cant do ---- to you guys!!!

damn, i know the feeling, the same exact thing happened to me, but we didn't actually get kicked out, just warned a few times, but it did suck when the lease was up and we had to move all the ---- that was in there. we use to be out there and have to keep the bay door shut so people (it was kind of located in a field in the center of a neighborhood) wouldn't call teh cops for us having the radio on and drinking beer, etc. i've learned to not get a building like that near any civilization ever again

They cant tell you to leave by monday. They have to evict you and you have 30 days to leave. Same thing happened to me when I leased my house, neighbors that didnt like us kept calling and complaining for no reason and the landlord said we had to be out in 2 days. Basically we said it was illegal to do that and said that bitch was complaining about nothing and we're still here a year later.

I got kicked out of my last apartment for a dog, after we told the ******* we would get rid of the dam thing. they still told us to leave. make a long story short, they were tryin to up the rent, so they found a reason to give us the boot, then found new tenants so they could make more money. they give us 96 hours to find a new place, and move all of our ---- or they were gonna issure a formal eviction. kinda glad i dont live there, but sometimes i miss the place. i hate the house we moved into. life sucks sometimes.

I never thought about that 30 day thing and you guys are right. just got off the phone with my friends and they are looking into contacting a lawyer.

Got some more tid-bits. (this went down before deciding on getting a laywer)

1. Realty ****** gives my friend his $6k check back
2. Friend deposits check
3. Realty guy calls and says 'you think you guys can be out by FRIDAY?'
4. Friend says NO, too much ---- to move
5. Realty guy wants the ----------ing check back

friend shoulda never deposited the check.

I think the guy is trying to do like franks previous landlord, get more money.

I guess your best bet to to write up another check or just not write the check and take your time.
