Just as a note. The way I test radio's before putting them in (to see if they work right) is to take the yellow and red wire together and put them on the positive side of a cordless drill battery, then put the black wire on the negative side of the battery and the radio will light up and all that ----.
And to make sure you aren't hooking up your speakers backwards (or to find the correct +/- wires, put one wire on one side of the battery of the cordless drill, then the other wire to the other side. When you touch them the speaker will "pop" and make a thud of a sound. (It won't hurt the speaker). When you do this the speaker will either "pop" out towards you , or it will "suck" in toward the panel. When the speaker "pops" out toward you, you have the correct +/- connection on the battery pack. Hook your speakers up using those connections and the ---- is right. I know sometimes it's hard to figure out if the green w/white stripe (or whatever) wire is the + or the - .

Even if the speakers were wired backwards they would still work......
