Comcast recently bought out our local cable provider so I didn't really have a choice. So far I've seen the reliability and speed on certain websites decline. I've never had so many retarded disconnects with cable before, it got so bad not long ago that I thought I missed the bill or they didn't get it or something and they decided to just ---- with me.

I dislike the company already, but I don't have another choice.

after a while, they will forget

i have comcast now and i really dont have any complaints, except that we have to check our bill to make sure its right, but they always remove the extra charges without any questions. and that problem has only been since i just recently moved. the 6 years of using them before that was flawless

No, you get charged off. They might stop sending collectors, but it'll be remembered on your credit report.

No companies are perfect, and some areas are worse than others. Just depends on the management in that area and who they hire.

I personally don't use them but it's not in my area.

I would take care of it before it goes to a collection agency. They will add on all kinds of "collection charges" once they get it.

I am sure Comcast would even take a long payment plan rather than selling to a collection agency for pennies on the dollar.

Again, depending on who he speaks to. The aren't supposed to open accounts for people that have accounts in collections, however it is possible and some people don't care enough to argue about it. Not to mention they get paid commission, so they'll be losing money by doing the "right" thing.

It's easy enough just to get it opened in someone else's name that lives in the house.
