if i lose my a/c...?

well im kind of stuck as far as manifolds and keeping a/c go , so unless i find a solution i am going to lose my a/c. i am ok with that , my only objective is when i sell that car , how hard is it to put the ac back in , has anybody out there done this , is it possible while keeping the motor in the engine bay

Re:if i lose my a/c...?

you can take it out without removing the motor so i don't see why you wouldnt be able to put it back in. The only problem I could see is that I know in my crx I had a hard time removing some of the lines without bending the hell out of um. I also never plan on putting it back in, so I wasn't very carefull of them.

they might know in the hybrid/tech section.

when I took my ---- out nothing got bent or fucked up, so I could put it all back in and have a working system.

pump and the condenser(sp :P) can came off with engine in the car.
just remember DO not release the freon by opening up the needle valve with a FLAT HEAD screw driver.

I took my ---- to a mechanic to take all the freon out. I don't know how much they'd charge you, but for me it was free because I'm big pimpin and I went to the shop with no hood.

that's what I did to test myself, a whole summer without it then the next summer yanked it. I hated turning the ac on because with my powerhouse d15b2 the ac robbed too much power for the car to drive comfortably, I hate have to push the gas more than 50% while driving easy.

actually even tho i kept my A/C with the turbo...
but now when i think about it i don`t really use it at all, even when it was N/A. ---- box is just SSOOOO slow with the A/C on.

I turned mine on only once and I just said ---- that ----, way too much power gone, I hate to turn it on in the truck too because I can feel the power loss, but ----, going through arizona in the middle of the day in the summer is too much for no ac when I have it, plus I don't want to be all sweaty when I meet up with my socal crew.

Re:if i lose my a/c...?

I was very close to removing my A/C but here in FL its not only hot and humid but it rains all the friggin time. Which fogs up your windows in a hurry without a/c so I decided to keep it. Now I'm thinking about moving north just to have a nice turbo setup because making it all fit was a bitch!!!

I'm just sayin, just buy a greddy turbokit or whatever. spend the 3000 dollars if you don't want to bother trying to build around your a/c. that's all i'm saying.

when i frist got my hatch i was driving to a friend and it starting making one of those noises when the belt is slipping then it stopped. i pop thehood and the ac belt snapped. i proceeded to take that bitch out the following weekend and havent had it or really needed it since. summer is only 4 months out the year here in CT. its already startring to get cold.

Re:if i lose my a/c...?

Now that I think about it.. the CRX never had A/C, I drove that all summer last year, and now I never use A/C in any vehicles I'm in. Rolling down the window does the trick for me 8)

my dx CAN NOT accelerate on the highway with AC on.

enough said.

Re:if i lose my a/c...?

it aint that hard keeping the a/c aslong as you have enough money to get a custom made manifold or if you're patient enough to look around for a a/c compatable manifold. plus, driving around with the windows down get your interior real dirty real fast. try your best to keep the a/c in my opinion is the best thing to do. oh...and if that's your only car and you don't have a/c, guess what? ----- prefers 70-75 degrees cold...not so good takin your girl out somewhere without a/c.

Re:if i lose my a/c...?

well you c that is the problem , i dont really no where to look , ive done searches and talked to ppl ( not on here ) and i pretty much got told it could be done with a hf manifold and a 14b, others have told me no, somebody please clear that up , also is there a a/c compatible manifold out there that is not extremely expensive , or am i gonna have to spend alot , or after i learn how to weld just make my own

Re:if i lose my a/c...?
