Idle problem

My idle is really low (about 400-500). Someone trold me to open the little door on the idle control and spray carb cleaner in there and that would fix it. Is this a possible solution? Does anyone know any other reasons why my car would idle so low?

lol, no dont tighten your throttle cable, that should never affect your idle.

Clean your t-body, sometimes the grim and carbon build up can lower the rpms a bit. Plus I am assuming you backed your timing down? (retard) when you put your turbo on? well that can lower rpms. Honda t-bodys have a idle air screw you can get about 2-300rpms adjustment if you really need to.

Where is the T-body? What does it look like and do you have any pics of it? I didn't retard my timing when I put on the turbo, could that have been the problem? Thanks Jeff
