Ideas on my setup d16

Iam currently in procces of rebuilding my d16a6 because of broken rings, iam usind viatra pistons, y8 head, t3 turbo, around 10-12 psi, i dont no what do do about rods. I dont have tools to make ls rods fit and really low on money. Would stock rods be ok, or should i try and find ls rods made to fit d series. Any ideas please help. Not going to have crazy hp/boost but i need it to start every day. thanks

scat rods are 275 shipped. requires notching the bottom of the cylinders, whihc isnt a big deal. i built my a6 and kept the stock rods due to lack of money and i wish i would have put aftermarket rods in.

sure but id feel a little iffy doing that, cause if you snap a rod you will be in need of a new block. if your replacing the ---- anyways id get rods, but if not i told you so when those things snap

These will work, but take ur time & not rush b/c ur going to regret it. Just put either ls rods/aftermarket but not stock d rods in. U already have the block open so just do the job 1x & be done w/ it.

what about the new tuner toys rods? give those a thought? If I were to rebuild a block right now, i would run those. :)

Has the problem with the D series tuner toys rods been rectified?
