I seen a sidebar about those cars with an article about the new MazdaSpeed3 hatch in Car&Driver...are those the same platform?? I think Ford neglects marketing cars like that in the U.S. because they think that americans are much more likely to spend their money on Mustang(they may even be scared that cars like the RS would hurt Mustang sells)...I check out the old Cosworth cars sometimes and I CAN'T understand why Ford wouldn't sell those cars in the U.S...Maybe it's just harder and more expensive to develop and market a high horsepower turbocharged car, and it still be able to pass the emission tests and laws that we have in this country...but then again there are several rubber melting supercharged Cobras and big displacement Corvettes that are available to the American public...

I hate the ford brand personally, but I too would not mind owning a focus RS, I think they would outsell the most domestic cars.
look at dodge they came out with the Srt4 its running ---- in the stock compact car class, the cobalt SS is also doing good. so its time for ford to put a better compact car under its name.
