I never knew this but I know now. It might be common knowledge and I'm just catching on but whatever. Sell your catalytic converters on ebay. Go to junkyards, get cats, sell on ebay. They go for like $100 each. Crazy ----.

I bet some podunk junkyards either a) are too lazy to cut the cats off or 2) just don't know any better. If you can get 'em for like $10 each, get 50 of them and make 5g's easy.

I just put 2 cats up on ebay a couple hours ago and they're upto over $100 together already.

most american made ones are expensive. they have all sorts of precious metals in them. the jap ones aren't worth much of anything.

It's actually the exact opposite. Large foreign ones bring the most $$$ (they have the most platinum). They will have bolt flanges on both ends. I worked at a scrap yard the past two summers.

my buddys shop got jacked for 5 one night they cut them off with oxy/acct set up
they'll jack any thing they can around here for scrap

my fiance's stepdad has a good friend that has been selling them for years at 30-50 for chevy and ford cats and only 10-20 for any jap ones. i guess its a perk of owning a junkyard that isn't a upull. its not only platinum that they take from them.

i've heard that they're only worth $$ if you can't stick a pipe/rod through them, if they are old enough the precious metals could be burnt out.

I know a guy that melts gold out of old computers, and makes sweet cash doing it too.
