Im signing up this weekend.. bcuz im starting my new website..its going to be n ecommerce(selling products websites)..and im going to use google checkout as my credit card processor, becaue they dont charge monthly fees like paypal..

Just curious, have you heard any testimonials about them? I've used a hosting company before that had great features and low low prices, but the upload/download speeds as well as page loading speeds were trash.

You have to be careful about the hosts you go with. They can promise you the world but your pages might load at the speed of dialup. I've heard of cases where people would sign up for a host, and not be able to overuse the bandwidth they were given because the transfer was so slowww.

Hope it works out good for ya. I was wrong on what I get:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/Hos...op&__lf=Static <- there's the link to their hosting packages. They have a deal where first 3 months of "home" teir hosting is free, then 4.99 a month afterwards, and has options that will probably be more than sufficient for you, although not as much as bluehost.

I've been using dreamhost for the last 4 or 5 years. I use next to nothing they offer, but they have been reliable.

If you're interested in seeing what stuff it comes with or playing around with an account beforehand, pm me and I'll let you borrow my login for a little.

If you DO decide on them, also let me know so I can get a referral bonus and save on my next bill :P Won't hurt you any and will help me haha. Honestly they're great though, have great reviews, very reliable, and the customer service is good.

If you are just starting the business, and are not an internet ecommerce expert, then GoDaddy. They will sell you the URL, Hosting, and Online Store all at once, and even walk you through the setup. It's a no brainer. We have several different solutions going (Zoovy, OSCommerce, and GoDaddy), and have for some time, GoDaddy wins for customer service, support, and products.

I'd register here even if you dont want to use them, their having a promo right now but its almost over, you get a basic hosting package with full Mysql, PHP, perl, the works for only 10 bucks which INCLUDES 2 FREE domain names and included in the deal is a full year hosting paid!. its probably one of the best deals i've seen in a while and after signing up the interface and backend portion is great! another great thing is you can have unlimited domain names under the hosting account and if you buy the domain, its active in only a few minutes(given you purchase through them but still), they also have ecommerce software ready to go with only a few clicks.

Check them out, and hurry up cause their about to end the promo, 10 bucks for 1 Full year of hosting with 2 Domains!

I just got it a few days back and already bought 3 add-on domains i've been meaning to start, so i have 5 sites off the same host right now.
