We get the same thing her occasionally. The bee's, wasps, flys etc become dormate in the cold. So they move slowly if at all.
He's steping on them while they cant run or fly away, i do it with bee's all the time cause i hate the *******.

Back when we were in grade school we'd get a girl with long hair to pull one out and I'd catch them in my hands. If you were gentle you could crazyglue the hair to the fly's *** or tie it around a leg. Tape that to the teacher's desk.
Kinda funny actually. Had an ex military (strict) history teacher. We did that. He walked into the class, saw the fly, paused for 1/2 second, pulled out his textbook and flattened it before continuing up to the blackboard and beginning the lesson...

Dude that's some funny ----, i got to try that once it worms up around here, and some flys would come out of the hiding... back in the day when i was like 10 my buddyes and i use to catch flys and then we would pull some smaller feathers out of pillows and we would stick them feathers into fly's *** and then we would set them "free" some funy ----, because all you can see is a feather flying around... ha ha

you can also drown a fly and take him out of the water (careful not to rip or suish him), then poor salt on him and he will come back to life
