I think i need mental help =)

Okay so I ordered a ebay d-series turbo manifold and it came in last week. Well I was excited to test fit it on my motor. Well I tried then I figured out it was a freaking b-series one. Well see I can just send it back and get my d-series one right? Well I was coming up with some crazy idea with my cousin that what we should do is cannibalize my obx header and the turbo manifold. How do you ask? Well our plan is to cut the runners off my obx header while still keeping the flang that bolts up to the exhaust port on the head of the engine. Then do the same thing to the turbo mani. Once the flang is off the b-series manifold we would then weld the d series flang to the turbo manifold hoping it would line up with the head (oh yeah the motor is a sohc ZC) and the turbo manifold runners. We have fabricated some stuff before, but I don't see why it wouldn't hurt to try. So uh yeah open for discussion. Oh if it did work we would reinforce the welds so it doesn't crack on us haha. You guys can say its a waste of time blah blah blah. Whats the point in buying the parts when we have a wirefeed welder, acetelyn tortch, drill press and lots lots of beer and time ;D

I doubt the runners would line up in any sort of a usable way, but I don't know for sure.

You can't send it back for a D-series manifold?

I'm sure someone would trade...

Hahaha that was our plan B to send it back or trade for a d-series.

since you have a welder or access to one, why did you buy one why not fabricate one?

True hahaha. Well I was just wondering cause I tried searching and no I'm not a noob. I been on Honda-Tech for awhile now and on cb7tuner.com so I know all about the ways of searching. Unless I really suck at searching for stuff then kick me in teh ballz.

Okay i figured out the damn quote thingy on this forum. Well i didn't have access to any pipe benders and I just started fabricating random things for a couple weeks. Yeah I know you can buy turbo manifold kit like the ram horn that either comes pre assembled or you can buy the unassembled kit where you just weld the pieces together like legos. I would love to learn how to start fabbing up turbo mani which is not hard to make. I was just given the opportunity to buy a pos ebay manifold and see how it would really come together.
