I think I am fucked
my timing belt tensioner bolt broke off in the block while trying to remove it. it is so tight it wont come out it seems the owner of the engine before me put locktite on it. I think the only way is to pull the motor and drill the hole out and put a sleave in or coil to replace the thread I am so pissed.

You should have heated it up. Helicoil it, shouldn't be that bad.

after I broke it, welded a bolt to it 6 times, >:( and it just keep on breaking off more into the head

Mapp gas works in a regular propane torch, but it's a LOT hotter. An easy out is basically like a reverse drill bit (best way I can describe it). You drill a hole in the end of the bolt, as perpendicular to the bottom of the bolt as possible. You want it go to down the exact center of the bolt. Then you basically use a ---- load of heat, and start turning the easy out counter-clockwise, so it will tighten. As it tightens in, it "should" extract the bolt. As I said, head the ---- out of it, as red hot as you can, that should help.

Get a hammer drill, get a tap, and a cobalt or someth'n drill bit and do it that way.

What did you weld it with? if you were able to get a tig torch up there to weld it, you can easly get a 90 degree drill and drill it out and tap it.

That shitty dude, like everybody said heat the mofo and if you can reach it, try to knock it loose with a hamer and chisel.

tried all that, already! the options I have now is to wait till tuesday since its been an holiday since friday here, and pull the engine and drill it out with an easy out, but if that fail I am gonna have to rethread the hole, and I cant find any helicoils gotto go to the machine shop to see they have any.
pulling the engine would not be much of a waste anyway because I was gonna pull the tranny to do a lsd and clutch install, so I can just do it all at once. just hope I can find all the stuff I need for the job. |

I'm just playing with ya man...but I guess that would be the easiest to do.. It happened to me also and I took out the block...it's a lot easier to work on with the block out |

got the bolt out after so many days. they dont even have drill bits here that worth ---- they fall apart after a few spins I spent 150 euros on bits so far. now the next step is to repair the hole with thread inserts helicoil, I have those at work so monday it is on.

Weld a stud to it or a piece of all-thread and use a nut.
