id much rather live in portland than seattle anyday, never downtown but outside of town would be fine, people cannot ------- drive in seattle thats all i must say, o yea and a word of advice in rush hour, just pull out infront of the nicer cars, they are the ones that will stop for you, not some ol temp scottsis moms drivin. :6

I don't know if you like beer or not, but Portland has more brewpubs than any other city in the Nation.

I could recommend a few if that is your thing. I would definately hit up the Horse Brass Pub, it's the most famous pub in Portland. There are a few others that I can recommend if you want.

There's a ton of stuff to do here depending on what you are in to, like if you skate you should hit up the Burnside skate park etc.

Oh, and I wouldn't worry about snow, most likely it will just be raining and overcast.

from portland to seattle is like 175 miles. in seattle, there's a cool resteraunt called elliot's. its right on the water, and you can take a ride on a private yacht, or eat out on a little pier. its pretty cool.

took my g/f there for our anniversary. i got laid that night :y ;D
