Default I ordered my new clutch!

Since my engine is out, I realized that this is the time to replace my clutch *again*. I had a centerforce stage 1 before, which is supposed to hold 30% more torque, but I burned that out about 2 weeks after my turbo went on, so I just ordered the other Centerforce that is good for 90% more torque.

I hope it works out, it was pretty cheap, $230, and Centerforce is pretty much the only company that makes performance clutches for my car... I'm so excited to get it up and running again!!!

With this new clutch and the turbo kit the way it was, I should be running mid 14's in a 4 door Corolla!!!!

Is it a Stage II or a Dual friction, cause I just got a Dual Friction one off of Ebay, paid 140 for it brand new with throw out bearing and everything... i think it might be that one... cause it says that it has 90% more holding Power.... Ive heard of people chirping their tires on 3rd with this clutch...

lets hope they can handle it.

Well, you got a great deal on yours! I can't find ---- for clutches for my car, it has an odd engine/tranny or some ---- with NO aftermarket support. This one doesn't have the centerforce weights on it, because my bellhousing on my tranny doesn't have enough clearance.

I'm so excited to see how this feels on my car, I can't wait to get it to the track.

mine doesnt either... i think all FWD engines wont be able to support the weights, because theres such small space in there, so im wondering how does centrifugal force get applied without the weights maybe they made the teeth thicker or something..

Some guy at a clutch shop explained it to me once, but didnt really go into it... he just kept rambling on about how much better i could haul ***... and stuff.. he just wanted to sell me it... he wasnt much help... I was quoted somewhere around 350 for that kit.

so you got a hell of a deal too... i got lucky no one really bid on it. and i stayed up till 1am making sure i won it..

Are you going to remove your flywheel and have it lightened and balanced?

Well, my engine and tranny are sitting in boxes in my garage right now, so I may as well get the flywheel lightened... I have to call around to the machine shops in my area and see how much it should cost.

Sheit as for chirping in third, I gots a 91 DX hatch with the A6 motor and stock clutch and that ---- chirps in third. As for clutches go, I say buy a stock one from kragen or something with the warranty, run the ---- out of it and when it starts slippin take it off and bring it back and get a new one.

I'm at school right now, but my mom said today on the phone "you got a package.. Did you order something?"

I went "Yeah, is it heavy?"

She said "Yes."

I was sooo excited I'm going home on Friday and I get to see it.
