Hahah well, to be legitimate about it they are unreliable for most because they have no idea what they are doing and mess everything up and turn it into a ---- storm of problems. Never buy a 420a, its an awful platform, and it will only do a low 200 whp at most on stock block and its going to take near triple the amount of money it would on a awd dsm to make it nearly as fast. You can argue with the capabilities of a 6bolt, not to hate but its a little better for the average tuner who wants a cheaper fast car, and what i think martirw is trying to point out to you is a turbo dsm is superior to a "real car" and that maybe you should tone it down for your first car . But really, if you do not hack and do everything right the dsm wont have problems, it will be the same as any other modified car, a needy vehicle. I guess to each their own, i like dsm's , others like other cars, but overall it is what you want and not what anybody else wants, do some research and get a good idea of what each car is about and its capabilities and importantly how much it will cost to buy parts to modify it, that is if you cannot fab them up yourself.

If it has a 6 bolt, 92.5-90 it could do 450awhp with no internal mods, good tune it will do 550 whp with out much problem.
Yea, definetly go this route. You are starting out on a boosted platform, plus the options are unlimited.

there is a post ----- in every bunch lol. Back to the topic at hand. I hate to be a conformist but a honda civic especially a 92-95 is a great starter to learn to wrench on. Easy to find parts and hella after market support. Get one with a D16z6 or y8 and boost it then go get plastic surgery to remove the grin from ear to ear you will have after experiencing boost for the first time.

WOW, Johnathan Jigga is what nobody wants in a forum, he doesnt contribute and just posts to get his numbers up so he can do work in the **** section, well, seems like he knows nothing and is just horny or something, id say he shouldn't be on forums like this or those posts shouldn't count.
