yea so i called some tire place and they gave me some guys number who fixes fucked up rims. i told him that it had cracked the rim and he said that they weld it. is that even possible? well it looks like im gonna just get them all powder coated again so they will look brand new

that really sucks, I usually try to steer around the potholes, I don't know if you've heard of this technique

maybe if you go faster.... and get 18-20 inch rims... you might be able to clear the pothole by going right over it//// this would avoid the whole swirving around it thing

Hey i bought a set of rims from some fool some time ago (BTW they were white also) and they were fixed, they got welded up and ----, it held air fine but i had to put it in the back because it effected the stearing somewhat, and i didn't get it powdercoated either... white spray paint nigga!!! ;D ;D ;D

P.S. the only reason i got 'em is because they was cheap as ----... hahahaha

You would be surprised how much abuse a tire can take before it busts the bead. I hit a curb head on at 60+ and my tires still held air. Destroyed the rest of the car though. Couldn't figure that one out. ???

DO NOT get it welded, my friend has his welded and it held for 6 months tops. Those look like Motegi MR-7, they go for less then 150$CAD, so should be fairly cheap in USD$

See if you can get the city to pay for the wheels.

Seriously, a couple of years back, I rolled over a big ass pothole on the freeway in town (it was winter) and it popped my tire and bent my rim. My dad was pissed, he wrote a letter to the department that takes care of the roads, and eventually they paid for the wheel and tire...

...to the tune of $700. That's why he was so pissed.

any way u can get the town to pay for it? a friend of mine took pics of the hole, and the damage, and the town got him new rims and tires.... might be worth the try

if not u can get the only one with wavy wheels... its a fasion statement

^^^I would try this. I had a friend who bent his front axle off-roading and he called the city the next day and told them he ran over a saftey plate that was stacked three high and it bent his axle. They told him to get three estimates and they would pay the lowest one.

my buddy took a ruler and emasured it, and took pics. he got a new rim, and they filled the hole, so u wouldnt have to worry about it again

I've been with a friend and we got pulled ovis reply, "I'm not ------ drunk, just trying to spare my ------ 18's from these pothole that the city wont fix because they pay you too much for eatin donuts!!"

Cop got REALLY pissed but didn't do anyhting. My friend hates cops because one actually re-ended him and ---- his WW Kit.

i got pulled over for the same reason, but mine was 17's...

i had a friend who had hit a pot hole just like i did and bent his rim, he said he went to the town to see if they would pay for them and they didnt, so i never tried asking. well i guess i should try, it couldnt hurt. so now i have to look for a pothole somewhere, because i got my bent rim on the highway comming back from Boston, and im never gonna find out where the hole was.
ok so where do i go to get this problem solved. the town office building? what did you guys do when it happaned to you. well thanks for the help guys/gals

by the way the rims are Katana VR-7's 17in.

You need to talk to the Department of Transportation for whatever state you're in. And if you don't get anywhere with them, you can try calling your state's attorney general... that's the person who stands up for the little guy

Man just get some rims worth having. Like 2 weeks ago I ran over a curb (the tire lost air) went into a ditch and fucked my shock and whole suspension on the drivers side up and the only part that made it unscratched was the rim. Racing hart m7000's. You get what you pay for.
