i know i have started too many cellphone threads, buuut....
 

my current phone took a ---- just a couple weeks before i wanted it to, so i have to get a phone with a working display soon. but it gives me a better excuse to get a nicer phone.

i have it narrowed to 2 different phones.

the razr V3t. i have come to learn that it is much nicer than the original razr and it has a few more appealing features on it, like a micro SD drive, mp3/video playback, and a nicer camera. i can also get it for $110 + $50 rebate, which is 40 bucks less than tmobile's site.

the dash is really ------- tight, i got to play with one at the mall for an hour or so, tho i did not get the opportunity to hit up the internet on it. it has everything on it that i wanted on the razr, but has a bigger screen so i could stick tv shows and movies on that micro SD card. the camera is pretty sweet too, it has a lot of fun features and does some cool stuff. i forget my actual price on it, but i know it is under 200 +50 rebate, as long as i get the internet plan for 1 month.

basically i need to get a phone worth replacing when it breaks, my current phone has a $70 deductable on it which is not even close to being worth it, and i know there is no way for a phone to last 2 years these days.

Dont get a Razr. I work for Cingular and have owned a few and can tell you from experience they suck. You have to have it in the "sweet spot" on your ear to hear it well, software is slow and glitchy, and it makes extra paranoid because you're afraid that everytime you drop or hit something with it its gonna break. Grab the Dash, but only if you think you need a pocket pc type phone, cus other than that they're useless and expensive for no reason, and T-mobile's internet is slow so its really not worth it. My buddy gets 8mb/s tethering off of his Cingular 3g phone with his laptop, pretty tight. I dont know if anything I said has to do with anything, cus i'm pretty fucked up. But just dont get a razr :6

i think i might have to get the razr. it's really the only regular phone from tmobile that i want. it's also got the same interface as my v330, which im used to and really like. the guys at the cell stand outside of the lids i worked at have been really honest with me. they talked me out of a couple of really expensive phones and they are straight forward with me on what their spiffs are, so i know they aren't ------- with me.

i just got home and i just powered up my nokia 3390, which i kept around for just such an occasion, im so pimp.

I worked for Cingular too and was also gonna say not to get a razr...but if that's what you're set on...

I've been using the MDA for the last year. It is by no means perfect but it's still pretty damn nice. Works well as a phone, camera is decent, and works good as a media player. You can buy 4gb minisd cards for it for only $40 on ebay.

That dash is probably pretty good though.
