that supra was holdin' it down.

Damn, I was excited just going slightly sideways in GT, I think I'm gonna go try it again! :D

My friend introduced me to drifting in gt3 and when gt4 came out he said it was impossible; then we tried it and I picked it up first and ran with it; he still likes gt3 but i think gt4 is more realistic but I can do some dori-dori ---- in gt3 and 4. GT3 is much easier to drift but its not as interesting, plus you can drift about anything. GT4 is so much more realistic; you have to mean for your car to dorifto and you have to have it set up right. I have a d1 spec S14 that i can go around appricot hill in almost completely sideways and connect almost all the turns. Same with trial mountain.

how do you setup up your suspension in that game to do that? I usually just leave it the way it is or stiffen it up slightly when I build cars on there.

G4 is bullshit compared to what TechTV was before the owners sold out. I hate G4 with a passion, because they ruin the one thing I loved most. Video games. And trust me, it takes a lot to ruin something I like.

i dont remember off the top of my head; but just about anything worked in gt3; in gt4 i played with my s14 for like 4hrs until i had it just right. It responds almost exactly like a real drift car would (according to my friend who is an amature drifer thats driven some D1 spec cars :))
if i still had a ps2 i'd pop in my mem card and get the specs but i dont

all you have to do is turn traction control down or off and you can drift all day long. its easy. its slow though...

umm quite, but thanks for trying to be a smartass. if you have TC on the game will not let you "drift". with it off my calsonic skyline on there "drifts" fine with the sticky sticky tires. alitle bit negitive camber front wheels toed out alittle bit, and the suspension tweeked for the car. but even if you dont do all of that and your just using a normal car, and you turn TC off or whatever its called. you can powerslide.

yeah, come to think of it, i was able to get some drifting off in gt3, but gt4 i usually spin out. when i do get to the point of having to counter steer, i either spin out or slow the ---- down. believe it or not, i haven't spent much time ------- with drifting in that game, but i did build an rs6 that did an ok job.

Let me start out by saying that this post is not intended to offend the original poster or anyone on HMT, it is a rant about my personal feelings and experiences when it comes to drifting.

Drifting is the most played out ---- ever, back when drfting started in Japan you had a handfull of guys that could do it, now everyone is a ------- pro.
There is no performance aspect to drifting, a competition to see who can wear out their tires the fasters or who can hold a drift longer than the next guy is not a sport, you can pretty much drift any factory RWD car with LSD there is however, skill involved, a skill that I dont have hence why I dont pose as a drifter nor do I try to drift.

When I had my 240sx I tried it once and only once, I did a 180 and got pissed off and sold the car, since then I bought a civic, swapped in a B18 and have been happy since.

Drifting is not about the skill anymore either, it seems like everyone and their mother drifts now( I swear I saw an 85 year old granny drift her crown vic in the shopping mall parking lot), then there is the ------- posers who think they can drift and they said they practiced drifting in GT4, newsflash buddy, youre not a real drifter.

In conclusion I think drifting is a waste of Time, Money, LSD, Tires, Balljoints, Bushings, Gas, Alligment, Suspension Components...Did I mention Tires? So yeah, if youre going to drive, drive it like its a sport...Drifting is not a sport so dont bother.

I dont care if its a video game or real life, drifting itself, wether in a video game or in RL is dumb and a waste, some people need to learn how to use common sence, just because car "Is able" to do that dosnt mean it was built to do that.

hondas wernt built to be turbo'ed either. ecu's wernt ment to be chiped. roads wernt paved so you can go around and street race on them. auto manufactures didint build cars for you to turn into race cars. who cares.

Good thing, we would not want a skill-less terd like you driving around in a 240 anyway. Just because you could not drive the car into a controlled drift doesn not mean that it is not a sport. It takes skill to properly drift a car. That is like trying to say that drag racing is not a sport because you just drive straight. Would you say that there is no skill in drag racing, whoever builds the fastest car wins?? God I hope not, cause it takes skill to make a top notch pass and keep the car in one piece. I know you said your post was not intended to offend anyone and neither is this, but it is intended to let you know how stupid you sound. In all honesty, this entire post is worthless but there is a lot of that going around lately ::)
