yeah that is true.
also while i was stumbling around i remember asking if peter worked there cause i thought i saw his car.
he said "yeah peter works here, you guys worked together at carmax"
so maybe he did talk to peter already.
i know peter would give me a good review. he was trying to get our boss at carmax to fire some *** hat so they could hire me as a tech.
peter talked with out boss at carmax for over an hour one day telling him that he needs to hire me. hope peter can hook me up.
i'm starting to remember bits and pieces of what happened during the interview.

Don't sweat the interview. Getting nervous at the interview shows them it meant alot to you. Letting them know you WANT to work their (not need to work their) is important. GL hope you get the job.

Plus, Mustard Hater, you have previous experience. A good mechanic is not always a good people person. Half the time if they seem too personable they ------- suck doing real world tasks, and some of the best mechanics are impatient ******** if you waste their time with talk. The best things to say are:

"I have a family to provide for" (shows you have motivation to work hard)
"I don't like to stand around" (shows you have work ethic)
"I'm here to make money" (seals the deal in any commissioned or flat rate position)

I'm guessing at least two of these things came out of your mouth during the interview. At no time do you have to act like a social butterfly, or do a little dance, to say these things and be convincing.

i failed pretty bad at an interview this summer.

i went in for the interview and everything seemed fine and he said there was a good position for me. and then it came to him asking me what shift i would like, day, night, weekend.

well i said weekend would be nice as it would work with my schedule, but if he needed me on a different shift i could work when ever. then he was like well what shift?

i was like what ever one, idk. after we went back a few times i was like i just fucked this all to hell.

it was dumb, then he called me in for a second interview and when i came in wasn't there. bla bla bla. BS

anyway no job.

I have never actually had a job interview. Ive had 3 jobs my entire life, and all of them began with the words, "hey you want a job? So-and-so bailed on me."

:P
