I have a 94 teg and a 96 vw golf as my dailys, my crx is for fun/breaking

The head gasket has been leaking oil out the back of the block on the VW for almost a year(since I got it). The struts have gone completely from hauling around Honda engines and other stuff, two of the springs have busted, and the clucth has gone so bad you cant drive the car in any gear but 1 or 2 at very light throtle. I always said if the head gasket went I would just sell the car. Two days ago I said its time, I replaced the struts, springs and clutch. Yesterday the girlfrined took the car to her moms house 40min away, didnt think anything of the red coolant light that came on because last time it came on I told her not to worry about it because I would top it up the next day.

I got in the car this morning and the light was flashing, poped the cap and watched the compression fly. The ------- gasket let go and the ------- rad poped because of it aswell! Two days after I did all this work the ------- gasket let go.

head gasket set at cost = 430.99
new rad at cost =169.99
thats $600.98 just to do the ------- head gasket and rad
thats bull ----, if I didnt just do all the other work I would of scraped the peace of ----!

Now that I'm in the auto parts business Ive noticed everyone who drives a vw speeks with a lisp and wears kaki shorts with sandles and socks.
Sell that thing before you turn into a fudge packer.

Its been a good daily, Its the car the GF uses as her daily I use the teg

Me and kamil have put together a turbo kit for the teg but cant install it till the VW is in good shap, plus I just didnt budget for this. I made a budget for the ---- I just did, now this was out of the blue and will make me a broke ass for a bit. I used saved money to buy all the other ---- and now I have to use more

Front struts = $73 or something each
rear struts =$56 or something each
coil overs =100 or so shipped
clutch kit =360 or so
thats like almost 800with tax's + I have another 600 to go now.

volkswagens suck unless you know alot of vokswagen people, mkIII's shouldnt be that exspensive to fix though, if you cant find anything for cheaper i can probly get you the whole head set for alot cheaper then that and then greyhound it to you

i have friends with well over 250k on 2.0's doing nothing but changing the oil and making sure it's full of coolant. the trans is the weak link on those cars.

plus the kit im getting is also all new head bolts and ----, its every gasket.

an ABA is an ABA, just like a d16z6 is a d16z6 ::) both of those are obd2 so they're exactly the same. don't complain because you didn't take 20 seconds to search for a better price.

maybe the car knows you hate it so it did this to get back at you, sort of like when your girlfriend has a stupid foo foo god that you hate and seems to make it a point to crap in your bedroom, lol. >:D

The car is a POS because I wanted to get rid of it if the headgasket went with all the other problems still there, but instead it waited till I fixed the other ---- to let the head gasket go
