Ive been stuck driving a ------- company prius all God dammed week long and I want to shoot myself in the head. I seriously don't see what people see in these cars. Its slower than a bone stock civic, DOES not get anything close to 50MPG, been less than 40mpg today over 80 miles... the steering has no feel and its uglier than that mole on my ***. Don't get me started about the gay *** brakes that are either on or off and everyone assumes I'm gay if there's any guy in the car.

What I don't understand is, If people really give a damn about the environment, why not recycle an old civic or a tdi jetta that gets 50mpg.. alright rant over, ps I know its only wed, its been a long *** week

I rented a Prius in Florida last summer. Despite not being able to disable the ABS/Traction control, being gutless, and generally unsafe on dirt roads, I liked it. It was like driving a space ship. On the freeway, I got 50-54 mpg by drafting big rigs over the course of about 400m. The shitty brake feel lets you know when you've gone from regenerative braking to the real brakes.

I see alot of them at work, and like your typical Subaru owner, they attract a certain crowd for sure.

 

They don't care about the environment. They want to consume with a green wrapper, since old cars aren't eco friendly because the paint is a little faded and the dent in the fender totally creates aerodynamic drag.

I've been meaning to commision our boy imburne to make "50+ mpg" and "A recycle sticker on your new car means you don't get it" stickers for my beater so I can see how many dirty looks the Prius **** shoot me.

what they need to do is build cars like they did befor, remember those tin cans like the crx that weigh nothing. ------- prius weighs like 2800lbs an HF was 1700lbs, theres your loss right there. i would have no problem driving a car with no airbags or all that fancy ---- if it got 50+ on a simple NA motor, none of this ------- high voltage battery packs and generators and ---- thats weighs obscene ammounts.

 

the seat in my wrx is 80lbs.

the seat in a crx is like 25lbs


why can't car makers go back to BASE model cars? nissan did it with the versa for under 10k..... and it sells like mad. smart move.

why you ask...because we live in societies, where the more you have the better, and auto makers love overcharging you, ex. adding fog lights as on option on a 2009 civic here in canada, will cost you aroung 800$, last time i checked with 800$ i can buy 5 sets of fogs for that price..
