He was/is real, came back once for 40 days and will return at a later date that is uncertain to everyone. He's disgusted with any and ALL sin and you act like the world today is worse than it was when He was around. Leviticus is a book in the Bible that will reveal many interesting sins that people commited. Sin has always been around and always will be. Christiantity is a choice and it's followers aren't always "leading man material" so embarassed isn't a good word. He knows we fail and fail often, but we do the best we can with His help.

Some Christians are just hypocrits which is sad, but of course I'm sure you've all seen it. Say one thing do another. I know I'm no good, I admit that, and I work on it with God's help.

The hardest part of something like that is when everyone around you doesn't care and you do then you slip up in speech or whatever like all humans do and then it's "Oh you bad CHRISTIAN you're going to HELL!!!". Truth is, we're not because we're forgiven.

Forgiven by whom?

Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for all the sins of man by shedding His blood on the cross so that we may have a chance to embrace eternal life in Heaven some day if we choose to accept Him. He led a sin free life, something none of us could do so His death was a 'sacrifice' for us so that our sins would be forgiven. See they use to kill animals for their sins and what not and use it as offerings before Jesus came. Well, Jesus's death marked the ultimate sacrifice that His blood covered all of our sins, here and now and forever.

JD, it's not transferrance. Osolhatch said it, and I agreed that he was every bit correct. I don't tell you every sin I make. You're trying to put me in a place of saying how we're equal, I have a feeling hypocritical people have told you about Jesus and how "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God", but never lead you to believe that they have done more than say "damn" one horrible time in their life compared to a life you lead of raping boys and killing babies. Guilt trip isn't my duty, that's Holy Spirit's conviction of an unclean life.

I'm saying that's how hypocritical people will make you feel. As though they sin with white lies and everyone else is Osama's right hand mand or something.

More proof in Jesus's existence than in Julius Ceasar's existence.

Did the Boston Tea Party even happen? I read about it, teacher told me so, and others said it happened....

By faith not by sight...

I don't see millions of people living their lives by the way of the Boston Tea party and worshiping it's existance. I also don't see people worshiping Julius Caesar on a daily basis. :1

I don't feel that way when those people speak to me. I feel annoyed that I should be expected by society to tolerate them.

I have never felt any of the guilt others speak of over what is commonly considered "sin" by christian doctrine. Does this mean I am without sin, or that the Holy Spirit is ineffectual and can't do it's job?

Means you can't quote people well for being an OG and I had a job reading that thing.

I've been a Christian my whole life. My father and mother haven't. Conviction comes at the right time, the proper time. You still sin, you just have no care about it and it surely doesn't mean you're without sin. I'm not God, I don't know what tomorrow brings for you. It's all in His good time/plan. I can't tell you is the basic principle because I don't know.

Right, but if Julius Caesar was said to be the saviour and that the Boston Tea Party was an event that marked such great revival in spirtuality I'm sure it would be contested and doubted and argued. Instead of I hate Christians this thread would be I hate Caearans or something.

It's contested because of its value.

Well yeah, of course it is. I don't want to base my life(which is valuable to me) on something that isn't 100%.

If I were walking down the street and found a dollar and someone walked to me and said it was thiers I wouldn't doubt them much because who would lie about losing a dollar? If I found a bag full of money and someone came to me and claimed it was thiers, I would question them. People have a good reason to lie about losing a bag full of money. Not many people will lie about losing a dollar. Of course it will be contested because of it's value and because of that value, there will also be liars.

But, we love you. So much. Enough to endure criticism, jokes, and persecution.

The Bible is actually a collection of "books" written by many different people, over many lifetimes. It has answers to many different questions, and provides an account of the example for us to live by. It tells the story of Jesus Christ, our savior, many hundred years before he ever came. Those of the Jewish faith were looking for someone very powerful becoming an actual King on earth. When, in actuality, it was much more spiritual than that.

The Bible states that at one point, many will be against any form of religion. I see this happening. Please, if in your lifetime, you are confronted with denying Christ as your savior, don't do it. It's a gift freely given from above. If you're interested, read a little in the book of Isaiah in the old testament, he tells of the coming of Christ many hundred years before He came.

A "man" will come to power asking you to deny Christ, try to unite many people in his own name, and bring about a false peace in areas that it seems peace will be unbelieveable. This man is the anti-christ. I only speak these words of warning because I felt cheated out of 21 years of my life, from before I accepted Christ. I cheated myself, by not deciding to accept earlier. These are prophesies from the Bible, that will eventually come true. The last book in the bible, Revelation, tells of the end-times. I recomend that everyone should read that book in the Bible, as it tells of signs of the final coming of Christ. Some of those things seem to have already begun.

Nobody has proof against the existance of God, and furthermore, there is much proof for the existance of Jesus Christ. If there's so much proof of Jesus being on earth and that He's the Son of God, how can there even be a question?

I never push my religion on anyone. Just as it was my free choice to accept of deny, everyone else will need to decide for themselves. I am just doing what God has directed me to do... Sling seeds. If the seed doesn't grow, it's not my job to MAKE it grow. I'm to move on and sling more elsewhere.

By the way, JD, the Bible talks about people who God sees will never accept. You see He is omni-present, and omnipotent. He is at the begining and the end at the same time. He knows all. He decided to "harden the hearts", meaning take away the "burden" of conviction, of some of those who he knew would never accept. Let us hope that this is not the case for your lack of conviction. I will pray for you, even if you decide that it's not worth doing for yourself.

Cliff notes: Turbochargers ftw.
