first off my car has full coverage and if they would let me just get my licence i would have had it a long time ago. so lets have a poll how many of you guys had to pay $300 to get your licence.

and i dont think my blue/ red/ bondo colored stock civic is ricy but maybe it is. and i didn't get pulled over in the parking lot i was at a stop sign to get out of the parking lot and the cop stops to let me go and flashes his lights when i get into the street.

there may be some truth in that. Being that a parking lot is typically private property, a police officer typically cannot ticket you while on the premises, UNLESS the owner of the property has given the local PD freedom to ticket/arrest as they wish.

At work there was a similar situation, there would be bums hanging around the premises, we'd call the cops, but they would always just tell them to leave, we got pissed after a while and asked why don't you arrest them, they said they don't have the authority to do so being that the property is privately owned... so what happened, we all got the landlord to more or less 'sign over' the parking lot to the PD. And now they can do whatever, since it is technically their property now.

Another thing is that my dad's car got towed away on the same parking lot. The tow company claimed that the car was reported stolen, but how could that be, it's our car. Well after calling around for a couple days, find some info, they tow company did NOT have the right to tow the car being that it is on private property and the landlord did NOT authorize the act. So we'll see what happens with that.

So yeah, I would contact the landlord or the 'man in charge' of the plaza and see if they could tell you if they have granted the local PD any sort of right. I'd have to look for the document that the PD had all establishments in the plaza sign when they were taking 'over' and show you.

i had to pay 250 for drivers training!!! well not me my pops paid for it but thats because i was 15 1/2 and in cali in order to get your dl as a minor you need to take drivers training or you can wait till your 18

same here. exept my school was 300 when i was 15 1/2. and this guy complaining about having to pay 300 to get his licenes back.. i have to pay 250 a month for car insurance for liability because i have one speeding ticket 3 years ago and im on my own insurance. get a job be responsible... a cops not going to pull you over for no reason, they dont like to do paper work for no reason. he probebly thought you were buying drugs or something

different states,different laws, cops can pretty much do whatever they want. in the end its your word against theirs and them ******* will always win. agentmurdoc-the same thing happened with my friends pick-up in tacoma, alternator went out and he put it in a parking lot, son's a bitchs towed it and he had to pay the fee to get that ---- out.

fight that ----, you have to be pulled over on a public highway while caught in the act of a crime if you are then pulled onto a private lot that is ok because you were tagged on a public highway and you chose to pull in there its the same as if he was persuing you in a chase. one cant pull you over while your parked. thats not probable cause that is predijice. if you went to court you could prolly get the no license ticket thrown out because he had no cause because no one reported anything or anything.

its like being a black guy in a pure white neighborhood. he might get the ---- kicked out of him but in the end he will win.
