I got a new car...not a honda
 

i know most of you guys hate them but this car is very fun to drive...its a 85 rx7 its all stock besides the 2.5 inch exaust and this ------ed intake....i had my civic and it just kept stealing all my money and didnt feel like i got anywhere with it..ya i know most cars are like that but anyway i ended up ditching the honda and i ended up with this....the ening only has 60k on it so i should have another 70 to 100 thousand left before the apex seals blow hahah but i plan on boosting it i was thinking about either putting a eaton m62 on it or maybe put blow through turbo set up using a holset or something :S..i already put a boost guage in it( ya i know its kinda rice, having a boost guage with no boost )...the only bad thing about the car is that the previous owner's grandpa wrecked into it in the driveway :S so now it has a primer black hood headligh and fender..but overall its a fun car besides pumping gas every half hour

heres the red paint i used for my civic...its also the same color as my rx7 so those primer black parts wont be like that to long

heres my old Z rims..i plan on putting these on the car because the datsuns getting a makeover and isnt going to need these anymore

i finished the civic but little things would break here and their...the datsuns a project car...this a just the daily..i dont plan on working on the Z until winter :1

hooray for 1st gens! i have one too, and the gas mileage is a bitch aint it? fun cars though, i love mine. 60k is pretty low, you can probably throw 10 psi at it all day long. look into removing that rats nest, it's simple as hell and will give you a few extra ponies. but, only do it if you still need to pass emissions.. mine is too old :-*

i dont care what anyone else thinks i like it....i just posted it because i thought id share my new ride with everyone..its nice to see what kind off cars other people have...hmt isnt just for hondas :8

i was looking at that site lastnight very cool stuff, i think im actually going to supercharge this car i have an electric fan the where the old one used to bu would be a perfect spot for the supercharger pully and i dont have a/c so where th a/c was i was going to mount the supercharger and and mod the old a/c braket to fit the blower..also how hard is it to tune carbs for boost?...oh ya i dont have emissions either O0

remove that rats nest, and replace that giant blog called a catylitic converter with a straight pipe- and now your ready to shoot flames!

with a draw through (turbo or supercharged) where the carb is on the intake side of the blower, there isn't really any tuning needed. however for turbo, if you want to run an intercooler you gotta mod the carb.. but it's like a trade secret and only a few people know how to do it. like seriously, i've searched EVERYWHERE and there's one guy on that forum that does it for $400 :1 what a dick, and all it is, is like adjusting the float levels and something with the jets.

and are you sure those z rims will fit? the bolt pattern is like 4x109 i think.. it's a hella weird pattern, very limited choice on rims.. im just gonna paint the stockers

no im sure its 114.3..thats what the Z is....they'll fit i seen a few on rx7 club.com with datsun mesh rims on them...well to search and find the supercharged legacy wagon...their is a way you can run a roots type blower using an intercooler and bov...you have to make a few custom charge box's..it would be the exact same set up ar using a turbo...also i have a guttet cat and a stight 2.5 inch with a flowmaster exaust it sounds badass :y..and it shoots little flames about 4 inches from the pipe :6

i like rx7's, always wanted one or a supra, but went with my civic because of price differences lol. im not digging the old carb'd engine. i think thats the first thing that would go and upgrade to the 13b. can you do that in the first gens?
