yes it's always good to flush your engine every once in a while to get all that gunk off the chambers.

I was leaning toward the loc-tite route, I just wanted to ask you uys first.

also, I am running a bit rich on the top end (safety reasons on an *** dyno tuned car) that is probably what is causeing the carbon buildup. is there a way to "flush" that ---- out? or do I just live with it?

Yeah, it's called water. Just stick an intake line in to a cup of water.. make sure you're at WOT or something pretty high.

umm...the entire intake pipe? hydrolock? rev it up and dump a little water at a time, down the pipe. i heard ATF works well also.

the loctite thing worked, it worked so well that the male threads of the comp. tester stayed in the female threads of the adapter, only problem is, it didn't stay in the tube. now it looks like this.....

Heads coming off!! Depending on the head, you may be able to take the valve cover over, and then pull out the spark plug tube (some are just pressed in)... then you may be able to get it out. But honestly pulling the head isn't that bad. Just pick up some ARPs while it's off and put a y7/y8 head gasket on ($23... hondaautomotiveparts.com). As long as you have it off, you get to clean everything up and do some head work too...

Have fun
