Re: I got banned from honda-tech!
Pat I wouldnt even get a 600, if your gonna do it just buy a badass bike to begin with. Because knowning you your just going to want more. Riding a sportbike isnt difficult at all, having some common sense and a little bit of coordination is all you really need. I bought a 750 when I was 20, and I had never even riden a bike before in my life not even a real dirt bike hah. I kinda miss having it at times, but kinda glad its gone too, just wastes space in the garage in fall/winter time, takes to much time to get all ready and ---- to actually ride, and back then none of my friends even had them. So atleast it sounds like you got some friends you can go riding with so thats cool. Just be sure to get a really loud exhaust so everyone knows your coming.. yea its a little ricer to do, but you want everyone on the road to know where your at.
Oh and I like how on HT they refered to hmt as a racist website, haha.. God damn nignogs

Yeah I know what ya mean, but I think a 600 will work better, me being short and all. Those things run 10's in the 1/4 mile stock or with a few mods and the top speed is like 150+, so I think that is plenty to start with. If I ever want more I can always buy another bike later. I'm more than likely moving to SoCal sometime this year, so there will be plenty of god weather to ride in.
Haha I think my favortie comment in that thread would be...
"You have been a member since 2001, you should know this forum is full of BS and band wagons the size of Rhode Island"

Well if you do get a 600, get a R6.. I've drove one and I was pretty impressed for what it was. I think the styling/engineering on Yamaha bikes are far better than Hondas. I Drove the F4i when they first came out....
Simply put.. that is pretty sex

I had a Triumph GT6 as a daily driver for a couple years. It was 7' long and 4.5' side, and much lower roofline than a CRX slammed to the ground - I could actually drive under some 18 wheelers' trailers. Nice shade of factory Flame Orange. People were always coming over on me. I'd hit the horn, you could see them stop and check their mirrors - and completely miss me - then keep coming over anyway.
When the muffler rotted out things got a little better, but not much. I'd be next to someone, they'd halfassed look around because of the noise - not see me - then come over anyway.
A motorcycle might be a little better off due to being higher off the ground and somewhat more visible because of it, but it is true that awareness and somewhat aggressive riding will get you much further than a ****** muffler. If you are slacking off and daydreaming and counting on the muffler to save you, you are going to get hurt at some point.

They might hear the noise, but when they don't care enough to look around they'll come over on you anyway and it all comes down to your reflexes and the machine anyway.
