Because it's encoded using the xvid MPEG-4 video codec and your DVD player can't decode it. You either need to burn it to DVD standard format or VCD/SVCD to be able to play it in a standard DVD player. Sometimes you can upgrade the firmware in your DVD player to support more formats, but you'd have to look into that for your specific model.

If it isn't fully downloaded you more then likely won't be able to play it because you download pieces at a time, look at my last post. If it is then download VLC Player if you windows media player won't play it again look at my last post for the link.

the download is a rar file. rars are basically advanced zip files. www.winrar.com will open it up, then the file inside is your basic avi file.

Collective Community Codec pack and ZoomPlayer FTW :6

honestly i didn't think it was that bad. definately the least ricey out of the 3. it had a couple bits of ultra cheeziness, but overall it wasn't too bad, and a pretty decent overall movie

you guys are missing the point. Its a movie not a documentary. Take it for what it is, its entertainment value. I saw it and i too thought it was less ricey than the 1st 2.
