I didn't know where to put this...

All right… I have been stalling all summer because I had no clue what to do. I purchased an 89 CRX SI totally stock. The a6 has 207,000 miles and it sucked down like 2 quarts of oil on its trip back from Georgia (to Michigan - - 850 miles). So I took the head off and looked around … and have done nothing since then. I all ready have a 14b and the matching manifold for a d series engine, an intercooler and the adapter plate that is almost done, that I was planning to put on my other car... 95 civic w/ a z6 --- but I’d rather spend the money that I have left to blow on the crx. I really gotta get this project going because I’m out of work and got tons of extra time to do this but when school restarts, I’ll be really busy. I’m gonna do the work by myself and a few buddies. Also, the clutch slips in all gears… totally fucked… so I’d need a new one to throw in there if I were to do anything with this motor…. I also would like to do a swap to either a b16 or dohc zc but money is a little tight…got like 800 to play with, but lots more on the way, but I don’t know when its coming (debts that have to be repaid, like 2 grand from many different, undependable people). So... something to ---- around with for now till the cash comes for the swap… or a swap now? Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated, but I want someone to make my decision for me so I don’t have to sit around and stall any longer. Thanks to anyone who have read all the way down here and sorry about the long post.

turbo your A6 for now, (replace the clutch too) then if anything happens down the road swap in the ZC, they are cheap and easy to do. B16's they may look cheap but they add up incredibly fast. D series turbos in a crx can be alot of fun.

Good luck

And another thing or two. The a6 is non-vtec and so is the zc... so for fuel manigment should i get a v-afc (maybe some vtec in the future) or a s-afc? And two... i can' t belive this ----... i had a question in my head and now that i've sat here for 25 minutes and though about it before i wrote it down, i forgot.... oh well ---- it... it'll come up some time... so yeah... ??? thanks

I wouldnt touch the block... slap a turbokit on and go to town, make sure you have proper fuel management. s/v afc either one will work fine. you just wouldnt use the vtec portion of it. AFC with a set of 450cc dsm injectors your good to go.
