I left my gas cap at the gas station. I noticed later that night, after I have put 50km on her since. I went to get into my car at 11pm, I could smell gas. So before I started my car I checked around for fuel leaks. Found a puddle of fuel behind driver side front tire. Then found another in front of rear driver side tire. Then found the eaten away paint below my fuel filler door. I open the door and no cap! ----!! Now I gotta get that fixed

ANyways, all this stupidity has led me to another question. I haven't started the car since. Does any one have any precautions I should take so I don't blow up when I do start it up again? I am going to have a fire extinguisher handy for a week or so though.

you should light some matches and throw them on the ground all around your car, if that doesn't blow you up, then it should be pretty safe to start

I called the gas station that i left the cap at, they have it! lol, dont have to waste money on another cap at least. Just have to get that part re-painted

speaking of gas wrecking paint, the coolest thing to do if you wanna get back at someone, is spill some old break fluid on their hood, hehe, and if that dosnt work, then use thermite

Why waste valuable break fluid?
use slices of ballony on his hood on a hot
day. You can spell out stuff like " U SUCK"
When he peels the ballony off the paint
comes with it.
And if you get caught you only have to buy
and paint a hood.

Sardine juice, fish soup/clam chowder, wtf ever, poured along the rubber seals around the doors is pretty nasty. By the time it starts to stink you have to crush the car to get rid of the smell.

Some friends and I packed a guy's hubcaps with shrimp back in HS... I still think he'd kill if he ever found out who did it, he couldn't make the car stop stinking.
