I did a compression test
 

I have a d15b7(canadian dx)
My moteur is rebuilt and he has 40 000 km since the rebuilt (.050 oversize)

He don t take oil and coolant

the specification is 135 psi min

and I have 130,133,130,135

is it the guage that is fucked up(I did it to my school so it s possible)

or it is possible

if spec is 135 and you're farthest from spec cylinder is 5psi, id say you dont have to worry about ----.

but with the rebuilt, I have more air to compress so it have to be more than 135 psi

135 psi est pas tres bon. C'est la minimum. Tous a vraiment un problem, mon D-series qui a plus de 100 000km a une resulta de plus de 180 psi. excuse mon francais, c'st pla mon langue de mere,

Je te recomend un autre essai avec le tester de compression, mais cette fois, mis un teaspoon de huile dan les cylandre avant de mettre le tester. si les resulte sone plus bon, tous a un problem avec tes rings de piston.

Avec la pedale dans le fond ca fait quand meme une grosse difference.

Comme Spenser a dit, refait le test et si les # sont encore bas, ajoute une cuillere d'huile, si les # montent --> piston rings finis :-[
Ce qui serait plate sur un moteur fraichement rebuilt...

hum, pas tous les jours qu'on rencontre de thread en francais.

C'est drôle mais je fais le test avec le pedale à fond et sans touché le pedale, j'ai obtenu le même resultat : 120psi sur tout le cylindre. :-\ Hum, peut etre que ce moi qui est mal faisl le teste. Est-ce que la voiture peut demarrer aver un 120 psi comme compression ?

and I got 215,220,215,210

so i'm really hapy ;D

220 in a cylinder eh? thats gotta be a good 9.6:1 CR.

Mine tested 210 in all 4.
