I decided to go, goodbye HMT for a while. (pics work now)
Well guys, Monday night will be it for me. :'( I'm leaving for the Air Force. I'll be gone for about 6 months then I'll come back home for a little bit. I decided to go, I think this might be the best thing going for me right now. I think the military will open up alot of doors for my future. I can't see myself doing it as a carreer really, but it'll look good on my resume. Well, I'll miss you dudes. Thanks for all the help and all the bullshit as well that you all put up on HMT :) Wish me the best. I'm out.

you are owned now. :P honestly: good luck to you man! one peice of advice, you mentioned earlier that you were a little worried about what base you were gonna get stationed at, make the recruiters put that ---- in your contract where you wanna be stationed, and make sure its in ink, and its still there when you get to meps. just tell them, where you wanna be stationed for X reason and make em put it in your contract. good luck. and when you are at boot camp, and the ---- seems rough, you cant go on anymore, just remeber, you are at one of the easiest boot camps in the world. ;) my boot camp lasted twice as long as yours did. one more thing. if you are the guy to ---- up alot in boot camp, the drill instructors (i dont know what the AF calles 'em) will love you and you will hate life. be the guy who doesnt talk, the guy who hangs out in the back of the crowd, just do as your told, fast, and exactly as they say to do it, and you will be fine. the first few weeks will be the hardest. once you get used to it, its a breeze. |

Tell your parents to email me your address when you can start recieving mail at boot camp. The letters you get there will mean alot, and I would like to send you some incouragement and stuff.
And when your in boot camp laying in bed at night thinking "what the ---- am I doing here" remember that its normal to have those thoughts. More importantly remember that many people have been in your shoes and survived, and you will too. The number one thing they are trying to teach you at boot camp is to pay attention to details. They are going to give you a million small tasks to remember, and they expect you to take care of every single one of them with 110% detail. WHEN YOU COMPLETE EVERY SINGLE TASK WITH PERFECTION, THEY WILL STILL YELL AT YOU AND TELL YOU YOU FUCKED UP. They do this so that next time you will do the same PERFECT job, and still try to find things to improve on. Don't set yourself up thinking that the TI (training instructor) is going to praise you. No matter how perfect you do it, they are still going to grill you. One of the things that hurts the worst is when you know you did something absolutely perfect, and you still get your ass chewed out. It makes you start to believe that you just can't seem to do things right. This is wrong, they are just trying to build up your sense of detail in everything you do. ditto what steve said!...most screwed up thing about it is when you start missing the people that you hate...snail mails help a lot and it's ok to get emotional and cry (make sure you do that inside your wall locker!)...it's gonna be hard...but its doable...just think others got it worse than you do(marines,army)my advise is to always expect for the worse and when it's all set and done, it's actually all easy. best of luck of you fellow boost freak. take some pics on how big the compressor wheel and the turbine wheel on the turbine engine will yah!

but really, thanks for the support from you guys. Some may approve some may disapprove. But I made a choice and I gotta be a man about it. If it sucks, it was my choice to have life suck. But for the mean time when I'm working on these airplanes, I'll try to get these painted on there
