If I was ever in that shape, I wish my family would care about me enough to let me die. Its just wrong to allow someone to live like that.

Hopefully the family would do the right thing; sue the Hogan's, use the money to buy a Ferrari F40, strap the kid in the driver seat, put a brick on the pedal, fill the fruit bowl with some beer and point him towards a wall. Let him go out in style. I know thats the way I'd want to go at that point.

Depends. A lot of rich folks kids pull cush duty, especially if the family is considering steering them towards politics where wartime service looks great but actual PTSD is a drag to deal with. That being said some people, Bush Sr is a good example, who get cush pilot duty and then go down behind enemy lines learn to man the ---- up.
