Is it really that offensive? People tell jokes pertaining to race all the time and so long as you don't hate someone because of their race, who cares? Diversity makes everything more colorful and fun, and what's the point in poking fun of our differences? White people can't dance, black people can't swim, asian's are good at math, etc. These are all steriotypes that are fun to make jokes about. Of course not all black people can't swim, of course there are white people that can dance, of course some asians are bad at math.

For three months before a Caddy hit my ED hatch, I had "Ching chong meow turbo" written in the dust in the rear window. It was pretty clear, too, never got into any ---- over it.
In 20 years, "Type R" is going to be a slur against asians and we'll have "Type R" turbos on our 2010 Civics.
