I can't help that you are lazy, afflicted with the need to languish long hours in bed because you are tired, and too stupid to soak everything in class up like a sponge so you have to dedicate time outside class to studying. I expected better of you and it saddens me that you aren't able to harness a fraction of what used to appear to me as a fine mind to manifest some real change in your life. You post up pictures of yourself carousing and drinking pitchers of beer with college *****, dropping ticket money at Leftover Crack shows, and generally squandering both potential tuition money and potential time you could spend working a few extra hours each day. If you are young and undisciplined and feel you need to sow your wild oats, Caleb, that is just fine! ------- do it. Just don't make excuses because you lack thrift and self-denial - the next step on that path is thinking the world owes you something when you haven't done anything of merit... like you're a rich man's son republican or deadbeat welfare liberal. Pathetic.

Here, pay attention, this is anecdotal information supporting my statement. It is based on real-world people actually doing something instead of making excuses why they can't do anything.

Every place I've worked at around here will send you home if they think you're in the 30+ hour range because they absolutely will not pay overtime, most places will not even let you work over 32-36 because they don't want you to be considered for the full time health insurance. I don't spend hours studying every night and often just wing everything, and do fairly well.

My school is paid for because I am a hustler. I'm not making excuses for anything, I'm giving reasons why people who aren't myself, do not have divorced parents and come from low income, lower middle class families, can not afford to pay tuition on their own. It's not an excuse when it's a fact, don't try to spin it as such.

Drinking beer? I go out like twice a month. I went to LOC in February and that picture at Hofbrauhaus was from the summer. Most of my money is spent conservatively and I'm in 0 debt, even after paying off a 4k dollar car in 1.5 years only making 6-800 a month. So excuse me for making the little social contact that I do get to make Most of my money is spent on nothing but living expenses. I go to the grocery about once every 2 weeks and spend 40 bucks, 150 on car insurance, 50 on internet, I have no cellphone, Give my mom 100 just to not be a dick, 80~ a month eating at school, probably 50 a month on gas. so that leaves 130-230 a month to take care of other ---- on. By no means have you accurately pinned me down as being a lofty individual, carousing around spending money on haughty bullshit while I pay no mind to fiscal responsibilities or social duty.


Not everyone lives in a prosperous area where you can make decent money in a post industrial society. That's highly dependent on having a wealthy upper class to support the service industry. If you do not have that upper class, and you're entire service industry is supported by nothing but other people in that industry, it dwindles and chokes its self out. There is no excess to trickle down, and no extra money among its citizens to be able to participate in any sort of culture that would bring money into the service industry. In my region, this is also amplified by the buyouts and layoffs at plants like GM and AK steel. Just because you can waitress and preform lip service on the upper class for decent tip money doesn't mean your individual case is a reflection of the socio-economic situation for the entire country.

i had a front desk hotel job
left it because i had to go grab my mom and 3 sisters from florida and help them move back to detroit
now im back in detroit trying to find a job.. guess what.. cant!!!

no ------- jobs anywhere not a god damned one.. just dead beat ---- megastores where when a job openning comes up there 40+++ other people whos resumes are better than yours..

detroit sucks and the only way you can get a job is if you know someone....

thats how i got my last two job.. dont get me wrong.. not saying i only had the jobs because i knew people.. but for me to get through the door.. i had to know someone.. then i proved myself worthy and they kept me on..

i went to a job interview the other day and told the front desk manager id work without pay for the first 2 weeks and if he didnt like me he wouldnt have to pay me...

ive also agreed to a 2 dollar an hour reduction in my hourly rate..

just so i can get a shitty *** ------- job to get back into shitty *** school

hahhahahah your areas must suck.

Since I was 16, I've never been a day without a job. If I get fired or quit, I've always been able to get one the next day. Hell, I have 2 now and have had 2 in the past.

Oh, and our cars don't rust. duuuurty souf fo da win
