How Power Steering Saved my Engine

So the other day I bought a power steering belt cause I just outta the blue felt like having it hooked back up.

Couple days later a strange noise started, and I couldnt figure out what it was. After a few days I decided that maybe my timing belt tensioner was bad or there was something in the timing cover.

So to inspect I tore it all apart and found this hole in my timing belt, brand new belt too.

Driving after I changed it I realized that the noise was still there tho. At that point my friend Mike had mentioned that maybe it was the PS belt, so I decided to try just taking it off. Sure enough the PS belt was making the noise. Its a good thing I put that belt on though, if I hadn't I wouldnt have found that broken timing belt. Well, until it broke all the way at least, whew.

Wow you got lucky, that's the first time I've seen a belt look like that. Better keep an eye on the new one.

He's talking about diesels and 2 strokes. Kains an avid dirtbiking enthusiast, if you didin't know that. This year he might even be able to reach the footpegs on a cr80.

no you jackasses. real engines use chains. rotaries cant controle timing. thats like sayoing something about 2 strokes.

belts are lame. chains are better.

guess again, actually... :-*

one of the spark plug cover nuts has a nice dent in it. Guess I didn't drop it on the ground afterall. I would never EVER install a timing belt like that. I use my hands and nothing else.
