Default How much would you charge to do a timing belt?

Older guy at work bought a 93 LX Civic with 140,000mi for $700, wants to get the timing belt changed.
I told him the water pump should be done too, so he asks me how much to do both since he doesn't want to take it to the dealer.

So, I told him I'd get back to him. $150 if he brings the parts?
---- I've done it enough times it doesn't even take that long anymore
I'm gonna tell him to get an estimate at a shop and I'll do it for half

Too much, too little

I know buk, I've turned people down for stuff like this for that reason
I'm only gonna do it because he only paid 700 bucks for the car

Damn...I got robbed then. Just did a T-belt and water pump on a kid's gsr swapped hatch for $80 (only took me about 45 minutes though). My friend's stock 96 4-door took me an hour and 15 minutes...so I guess $150 isn't too bad.

BINGO, plus if you've ran into ---- that they haven't mention/neglected that needs changed and they don't want to pay for, they act like it's your fault. ---- working on other peoples cars.
