search craigslist...you can find 01 r6's going for around $3500 to $4500...i've been searchin for a while tryin to find someone to trade for a car i got a killer deal on and finally founds someone, so i'm gonna get a $4000 bike for $1300...lolz...but i'd hurry up cause as the weather gets nicer the prices of bikes goes up...in spring time you can find those same r6's going for $5500 so fall/winter is best time to buy

I've got an '04 zx6r- and I'm paying $26/month full coverage- usually if you get a bike financed you have to have full coverage, I'd get it anyway because it's so cheap. I'm with state farm, and they have amazing prices for insurance, BUT- i've been with them for almost 7 years, both mine and my wife's car is with them, along with our renter's insurance. So they love me.

Unfortunately, if you don't have a car insured through them, they won't just insure a bike.
