How much for a crotch rocket?
 

Well my boss just bought a 600 somethin, lowered and extended and it is freakin sweet. So now I'm lookin into getting like a 600 or 750, I wanna know how much u guys pay for insurance on these things. I was searchin on the internet and seen ranges from 250 to 1000 a year for full coverage.

i'm 21 with a good driving record, and i'll prolly take that class they have at the dmv too.

also, about how much do your bike payments run? I know all this is gonna be diff for me but i just wanna get an idea.

I was looking into getting a bike, it was a GSXR 600. The payments were going to be about 200/month, but the insurance was going to be like 400/month with full coverage ??? :-X

I dont know if it makes a diff but im 20 with a good driving record and located in NC

I paid around $100 a month for my GSXR1000. Of course I was 26 when I bought it.

what year was it? the one i was looking at was a 2005 special edition and I wasnt putting a down payment

Mine was a 2002. I bought it new for $9850. Kept it stock except a Yoshi Tri oval pipe.

If u only get liablity it dosn't cost hardly any thing right. I think my brother pays like 50 bucks every 6 months or something for his with just liablity.

What do you need insurance for you get in a bad wreck your dead anyway that was my excuse cause I didnt have insurance on my bike

18, only have a permit, and was quoted by geico and e-surance at $32/month. Got a 21yr old buddy that pays ~$20/month.

damm that sounds good, i've always wanted a bike but heard the insurance was hella crazy, does anyone know where'how to get great deals on bikes i want a used r6 not more than 2-4 years old how much is a good deal?

i have a 05 gsxr600,and i pay 120 a month and in washington state you dont have too have insurance on a motorcycle.

search craigslist...you can find 01 r6's going for around $3500 to $4500...i've been searchin for a while tryin to find someone to trade for a car i got a killer deal on and finally founds someone, so i'm gonna get a $4000 bike for $1300...lolz...but i'd hurry up cause as the weather gets nicer the prices of bikes goes up...in spring time you can find those same r6's going for $5500 so fall/winter is best time to buy

If you get a sportbike and lower and extend it, I will personally come kick your ass.

I've got an '04 zx6r- and I'm paying $26/month full coverage- usually if you get a bike financed you have to have full coverage, I'd get it anyway because it's so cheap. I'm with state farm, and they have amazing prices for insurance, BUT- i've been with them for almost 7 years, both mine and my wife's car is with them, along with our renter's insurance. So they love me.

Unfortunately, if you don't have a car insured through them, they won't just insure a bike.

EDIT: oh yeah, if you call it a crotch rocket again, refer to the aforementioned threat....
