I've always just hit my brakes way before I get near the cop, worked the other day.. well to an extent. Got clocked at 65 in a 50 when I was doing about 95, slowed it down to 65 and let off the brakes about 15 feet before I passed him. He was also sitting and waiting for someone too, not driving, so it was a litter easier to hide the lights.

I think the biggest factor is who the cop feels like pulling over. If you're in a little import with rims behind a couple stock cars, I guarantee it'll be you that's pulled over.

I agree. I have some relatives who are state cops, and it's 100% not true that following a car keeps you from getting a ticket. What gets you the ticket, is owning an import.

In Delaware, a state cop pulled me over for following too close (I just merged into traffic in rush hour, where everyone was following close), improper lane change (someone stopped, gave me space, and let me into the traffic), and no stopping at a stop sign (he was at least 20 car lengths behind me, and yes, I did stop). Which equaled for me an agressive driving ticket (which were being promoted on the radio all summer, what a coincidence) since any three violations in a row can equal one of these stupid tickets....

I ended up having to hire a lawyer, and in the end am out $800 b/c I was profiled in my lowered integra, with stock wheels, and a noisy exhaust. After this, I switched to a stock exhaust, raised the car, and sold it. No more being profiled as driving an imported sportscar.

My one more annoying cop cousin told me how he likes to speed down the highway, wait for some tard to follow him, the then goes behind the guy, and pulls him over. He thinks this is fun.

This is why all cops are pieces of ----. don't think for a ------- second that ALL cops don't at some point get this mentality or act this way.

I've tried the "don't hit the brakes" move and it didn't work. I let off the gas as he passed, he flashed his lights so I figure he knew, but I still stayed off the gas trying to slow down and not hit the brakes. He starts turning around so I gun it. >:D I tried to get as far away as possible so maybe I could take some turns and ditch him, but it didn't work. :'( When he came to the car he told me he was giving me a warning with the lights and since I didn't slow down he decided to pull me over. :3

That's the last time I decided to use that smart move. :1

I just try not to do more than 5 over the limit anymore. It's not worth it. My driving record is so close to being clean I don't want to ---- it up. I'll speed in spurts just for fun, but not for an extended period of time. That's just asking to get pulled over. :l

At that point they have already seen you. They can't pull you over because they think you were speeding.

My stiffer springs also help keep the front end from diving too much when I brake hard, which is a dead giveaway even if they dont hit you with radar/laser
