how long does it take for gas to get old?

i know it depends on temperatures, but lets say it sat in my car for about a month and some days it would go to about 90 degrees, you think this gas is old?

Buddy has a b18a1 teg that hasn't started since 2002. Started, idle, and ran normally yesterday. Same gas from '02.

I started and drove a Chrylser Conquest TSi that had 5 year old gas in it. Although the car was stored in a constant 70 degree environment, its still 5 year old gas, I'd say you're all right ;)

you'll be fine. I leave my rex over winter w/o gas addatives and it runs fine in spring everytime

"The car starts up" doesn't mean the gas is any good.
What will happen first is that the gas will go down in octane.
You should be fine with one month, but I'd be worried about driving hard on gas that has been sitting in the tank on your car for more than 3 months without a stabilizer.

I usually go with 6 months as a cut-off for cars.

Small engines are different than cars.

I at least wouldn't risk old gas on a high performance turbocharged engine. A tank of gas = $20, a blown up engine = $2000.
A good way to dispose of old gas is to put 3 gallons at a time into your mom's accord every now and then.

when my jag broke down, it was sitting outside in the hot Socal sun for a year. Then gave it to my auntie, and it started up. Damn I was pissed.

So yeah it should be fine, Personally I would go toss in some 91 octane gas in ther just to mix it up some.
