how to install pistons and rods?

Yup, once you remove the head, you can install new pistons and rods.. but that isnt the best way to do it. You should take the block out, and have it bored/honed machined correctly. Lots of people just slap in new pistons and rods with the engine still in the car, and roll new bearings in. Its ok.. but not the best.

Re:how to install pistons and rods?
this is my daily driver so i dont have time to pull the engine, but that is good that i can put the pistons and rods in with engine still in car......about haow hard is this and how much time does it take....i know the basics and some other things about taking apart engines...i experimented on the dreaded b20a5...it was easy, but just wondering?

you can do it like that i've even thought of it. but some times their is a ridge on the top of the cylinder that will need to be honed off. and if you plan on replacing the clutch to it much easyier to take out the engine. honda just doesn't give you enough room.

Take the engine out through the bottom? ya its a piece of cake if you have a lift, and take your front cross member off, and radiaus rods.. it would be a bitch to get the car up high enough to get the engine out without a lift.
