Im gonna grab a D16a6 complete with tranny axles etc. I was wondering how heavy it is. Since I don't have a truck, the only way i can move the motor is with my civic, is it safe to put in the trunk? or is that just a bad idea? thanks

I've had a civic motor and tranny in my hatch since it was lowered...Wasn't a pleasant ride but it was all i could do

its ------ heavy the tranny is about 50-60lbs, the engine about 100, axles 10 apeice...your lookin at around 180lbs

ok, don't ask how i know... 218.6 pounds. intake mani to exhaust mani, front pulled to flywheel, no fluids.

Si = 218.9 lbs (with spark plugs in.. haha)
Std/DX = 207.7 lbs
HF = 195.3 lbs
ZC = 247.9 lbs
B16 = 309 lbs
