I don't think crushing it will make it any louder, crushing it is to get higher psi without boost leaks. As far as how loud the 1st Gen Dsm Bov's are I couldn't tell ya mine is still waiting to go on the car :-\

i dont know who did it but someone here made there 1g dsm sound nice by placeing an oblect similar to that of what is in the HKS SSQ bov that star looking thing and he claimed it sounded goodsssss...psshhhhhhhhhhhssssssssssss

Hell yeah... that was my 2nd GEN BOV with a car alarm horn mounted to it.... it was pretty damn loud even at 5psi..

Haha, This is some funny ----, Ricer whistles in the muffler was the best of all time.. Most Bov's will give you a nice swoosh, even the probe or saab junkyard ones.
They are free around here

it's the only thing I've received from a member of the site, unless you count the chip burner that I'm going to use for the pm6 I'm going to get and the entire b16 swap I got that I'm going to use the head from for my LS/VTEC turbo. however, I did buy a turbo from a local yard for $160 that needs a rebuild, it is currently in pieces on my front porch. It's a garret t3 .42/.48 with the funny chrysler flange if anyone wants it.
