go to windows update.. and before you click the express or custom buttons..

copy and paste this into the adress bar and hit enter

javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all')

nothing will happend.. then you select custom or express.

Tools --> manage add-ons --> and then you disable the authentication check.

i jusst installed direct x9... and i got windows movie maker.. and i updated a shitton of software.. ALL THE UPDATES DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED. ---- i hit the caps button.

technically it should work :1

i tried to get direct x from the microsoft website.. it told me authentication failed.. so i ran windows update.. put that in the browser of the windows update.. hit enter.. then went to the browser of the microsoft direct x site.. hit download.. authentication bypassed..

dirext x 9 downloaded and installed..

then i went back and updated lots more ---- :6
