eh, theyre not doing great. neither are we(fedex) apparently. from what i know, fedex is making only half of what they were expecting to gain after the dhl drop out. UPS layed off plenty of people i believe. according to their union contract theyre supposed to get a 4% raise. but i dont believe they can afford to give the employees that raise.

That would explain my fedex rep calling me last week and thanking me for my continued business.

*The Hurtness*

I'm a Service Adviser for (P e p b o y s). I started out making 13.50 an hour +spiffs with every product package i sold, the spiffs weren't much but it was maybe an extra 40-50 dollar per bi-weekly paycheck. Last year i made about 32k before taxes, life was okay if you budgeted. i live in a expensive area so it is to be expected.

The company decided we were getting paid too much, so they just decided to take a Major pay cut to every adviser and Assistant Manager in the whole company. I Took a 5 Dollar an Hour pay cut and adopted a Performance Commission that is in direct coloration to Customer service.

Yes that is right. i get 8.50 an hour + commission (based on Sales Divided by customer service) + my original spiffs.

the company mandated a $200 an hour quota. so daily I have to make $1600 for the 8 hour shift that i am there. hitting those numbers just means I would get paid the same as i had been before. however if I were to give out discounts to reel in that customer. I don't Get my full commission count. also if a customer gives me a rating of anything less then an 8 out of a 1-10 scale. my score promoter goes down.

if my score promoter goes below the minimum thresh hold I LOOSE 50% of My commission.

BTW The worst part is that the whole economy is to ----. people don't want to get their car fixed instead they do it themselves. I'm Probably seeing an average $1200 daily intake and I am a Top dog on my sales. on top of that i have to Make a customer Feel good about me ripping them off. and i have to do it with a smile with all the bells and whistles.

since i produce only $1200 out of $1600 dollar i am instantly losing 1/4 of the difference of my original Pay OFF THE BAT.

the other 3/4 is virtually cut in half with a quite literally 1 mad customer.

doing the math i am averagely losing $120 a week. or about 5.5k a year LESS. which means i make 26.5k a year Before taxes An 18% pay cut.

sorry about the long post but I'm really annoyed off. my 440 square foot studio rent is due, $1035 a month. I take home $1500 after taxes. $465 to survive on to pay for food, utilities, gas, internet, car insurance and ---- in Life.

I can barely buy toilet paper to wipe my ***. i fucken clip coupon, I fucken Hate Ramen noodles.

i am really hating this whole situation.

like i said i live in an expensive area.

i live in the city of Westminster in Orange County California. where a decent Medium home STILL costs anywhere from 325-400k.

http://www.ziprealty.com/buy_a_home/...tminster%2C+CA
here is a link to some local listings.

people are just like that. since it's expensive and the economy is going to ----. people are moving away from their homes and moving into apartments. i have lived in my apartments for over 2 years. in that time, the rent has gone up 2 times for me. it started from 925 (lease deal) to 955 (month to month after lease) to 1005 (increased rent) to 1035 (increased rent again). i think it's ------- taxing.

i looked around to other places in other nearby city's and they are either in Santa Ana (ghetto ville) or it costs even more then where i live at. I refuse to move to Santa Ana i do NOT WANT MY HATCH to be stolen... again. (last attempt i had a blown clutch so the car didn't go anywhere. but those mother ******* Took my cheap $20 dollar head unit anyway)

ugh. anyways yes i have considered moving away. but it probably means moving out of orange county.

I pity the fool that pays that much for a room about the size as my storage.

Move somewhere cheaper. Can get $8.50 an hour all jobs day here and my "expensive" apartment was $500-600 a month. 900sq ft too.

----. My friend just got a job in Anaheim making 22 something an hour with no experience in that field working for wallgreens. You need to look around some more.
