yeah japanese drifting competition.. you try and pass the opponent.... doesn't it look hard as ---- to do? =)

mmmm skyline vs s15 looked like the signal auto one

yeah that jun lemon evo went completely sideways!!!

DON"T EVER DRIFT IN ANY CAR except RWD and AWD!!!

FF cars you will lose the back end and you can not control your drift... and you can't counter steer because you can't catch up to the backend... this is called a SKID =)

turboef9, i think you're giving them too much credit, it isn't hard to drift. its acually really easy. if you start to get too far out in a corner, you just give it more gas and you tighten down.

lancers are gay, the only people who own them in this country are rich "mid life crisis" men, get a sunny gti-r, or a sierra sapphire cosworth

what a bunch of crap turboef9.

those japs have to pull the ebrake to break the tires loose? cause thats all i does is lock the rear tires. to make them slide. why not hit the gas?

i do it all the time in the maro. if i go into a turn too fast, the *** end will start to slide. then you correct yourself, and give it some gas, even if you aren't getting traction, you will get pushed through the corner.

Ya.. and if you're driving an FF? You give it more gas and you'll grip and shoot forward, ending the slide. In FR you give it more gas, un oh, low and behold, your inertia will actually push your spinning tires out further.
if you're give it gas and you GRIP. you can't dift in that car. drifting is a perfect balance between loss of traction and having enough to be able to direct the car to where you want to go.

If you "go out to far", the way to bring it back in an FF, you actually modulate the slide with your clutch. A combination of popping the clutch actually upsets the drive line, and creates the throttle control that keep the tires pulling you through the drift.
err, i think you've been playing to much gran turismo. pressing the cluth will just make the tires grip and pull you to where you're steering. why not just let off the gas a little, and you will start to get better traction and move slowly towards the way you want to go. do you think you have time to sit there and pop the clutch in and out around a small corner?

In an FR, you modulate the eBrake, and throttle TOGETHER to keep the slide in effect. And depending on if you're too understeered, you slip the clutch..
why would you have to use the ebrake? why not just put the hammer down? or maybe these cars can't brake the tires loose? i doubt it.

i reason you see that guy PULLING THE EBRAKE, is because he wants to drift when that car SHOULDN'T DRIFT. those guys were doing that for show, or for whatever japanese "drift" race they are doing. the only cars that should drift are can that can't handle, EG muscle cars. even a 800hp FR supra shouldn't drift. if he starts to drift (not on purpose) he is a ***** and giving it too much gas.

bottom line, drifting is a balance between traction, and no traction.

just enough traction to be able to move the car in the direction you want to go. and not enough traction to be able to slide.

not poping the clutch, pulling the ebrake. none of that ---- has anything to do with drifting. MAYBE when you're in a car that SHOULD NEVER DRIFT. and you HAVE to pull the ebrake to start to slide. thats where it comes into play. and thats not real drifting. thats a show, or a so called "difting" race.

watch the junevo video. i don't see him POPING THE CLUTCH, i see him doing exactly what i said. he is giving it gas when he has to tighten up, and letting off a little when he was to slide more. plain and simple.

Johnny, Drifting is not simple in a FWD car at all.. in fact I have done it a few times on the corse, but not on the street. Its pretty known that terminal understeer is a very common problem with FWD cars. I dont know what you are experiencing in your 1g, its probably just suspension slop, that makes you feel like a drift, hah

No, we arnt creating a drifting forum.. lol
