ok thanks and LOL i know that did sound kind of rice but i got into an argument with my friend that you should always break in your motor after a rebuild and he said not with a good tune. So he rebuilt his motor then slapped a t3/t4 50 trim turbo, neukin made him mani and downpipe IC piping and ran 12 pounds first day on dyno. Then the guy told him his head gasket was no good it started to over heat alot when they tried to dyno it so he never got it tuned. His comprssion numbers were like 150 straight across, by the way it was a b16 from HMO that he rebuilt after he bent a valve trying to race an STI he won LOL. But the numbers should have been higher so he went on here and asked people and some of them said it takes like 500 miles and the guy got his compression to like 220 after that long but not everyone has that high of numbers . So he drove it like how you should break it in and it never got out of 150psi after 600 miles of driving, it should have at least got to 180. And he thinks the reasn it was over heating the ------- radiator fan just stop working so he got a new one in and it hasnt gotten passed 209 degress and thats when the thermostat opens. So he was saying on new cars because there tuned so good you dont have to break them in. And when you get them from that manufactor you can just beat the ---- out of them. I told him your probably suposed to break those motors in to. But i dont buy new cars so this is why im asking.

I usually let the car warm up then shut it down and let it cool. I change the oil, then start it up and when it warms us I take it out for a run.
I do several 3rd gear pulls just like you would on a dyno up to its max redline then let off but let the car slow down in gear.
I do this maybe 10 times. then I just drive my car like I would normally drive it. PURE RAPE whenever I can!.
Your engine needs to get used to what it will be going through. if you break it in like an old granny for a few thousand miles and then start raping it, it will do more damage.

Edit 4th gear if you have enough room. I still do mine in 3rd.

Is it 4th? Hmm I've seen some in 3rd I think. Thanks for the correction.

Anyway I do pulls in 3rd since im in the city and wouldn't have enough road to do a 4th gear pull to max RPM.

in most honda transmissions 4th is closest to 1:1

most "domestic" transmission 4th is 1:1
